RESIST


Here is some example of RESIST TECHNIQUES

  • Wax-resist technique
    • in Malaysia, its known as BATIK.
    • using wax as a medium to resist dye (Remazol) from mixing with each others.
    • wax are applied using CANTING/DJANTING


  • Tie and dye technique
    • also known as IKAT CELUP in Malaysia
    • the fabric tied using rubber bands or synthetic yarn or threads according to desired design or pattern before applying the dye




  • Wax block print technique
    • known as Batik Cop / Batik Blok
    • use a designed copper/aluminium block
